The eagerly anticipated release of the first series of RDK Weekend Surprise has arrived. RDK and DJ Zhang Youdai are proud to host one of Denmark’s finest jazz bands, The Cathrine Legardh Quartet in Beijing. They will be performing for one-time only special performance at “THE PLACE” on May 14, 2010.

Cathrine’s voice has been described as “utterly soothing” and “most impressive”. The Danish singer primarily sings American jazz standards, inspired by such artists as Chet Baker, Fionna Duncan and Jay Clayton.

The RDK Weekend Surprise series is an innovative solution to bring alive the RDK brand in China. RDK will play host to a range of small cultural events that celebrate creativity and arts through free public art installations, music and visual art performances at its retail store outlets throughout China to allow shoppers, and the press to interact and experience its stores differently.
